  • Master’s in Mathematics (M.Math), University of Waterloo

  • Over 15 years’ experience as a professional educator, specializing in supporting students with learning disabilities such as anxiety, ADHD, and dyslexia.

 

Professional Focus

Heidi is passionate about bridging the gap between academics and individualized learning. With a foundation in mathematics and a deep appreciation for mental health and learning diversity, she empowers students and educators alike to flourish. Her work includes:

  • Designing and implementing personalized learning plans for neurodiverse learners

  • Teaching executive functioning, metacognitive awareness, and academic strategies

  • Collaborating with parents, teachers, and coaches to create supportive, flexible educational environments

  • Leading educational programs that align with provincial curriculum while addressing individual learning needs

 

Role at Southridge Academy 

As the Education & Academy Director at Southridge Academy, Heidi oversees the integration of academic support and athletic/holistic student development. She ensures that students who are balancing sports, academics, and personalized learning receive consistent, high-quality instruction and mentorship. Her warm humor and ability to build trusting relationships make every learning experience feel both engaging and supportive. Heidi leads as founder and learning strategist, guiding a team of certified educators and coaches who specialize in working with learners with diverse needs.
